Learning more about farming in El Salvador at St Stephen’s Church Winchester

Harvest briefing at St Stephen's Winchester

Harvest briefing at St Stephen’s Winchester

Many thanks to all those who despite the M3 being closed were able to attend our last Harvest briefing meeting at St Stephen’s church in Winchester on Saturday. At the meeting we heard about how CAFOD’s partner Solidarity CVX has worked with farmers like Edelmira and helped them to become self-sufficient. Edelmira and her husband Martir have learnt different farming techniques such as crop diversification, organic fertilizing and keeping chickens which have help them to feed their family.

Many thanks to Steve and Beth Taylor our CAFOD parish volunteers in Winchester for organising the meeting and to St Stephen’s for hosting the meeting.

Please help us this Harvest fast day to support farmers like Edelmira, to grow enough for themselves and their families.
