Running in the Malta Marathon
Congratulations to Jane Carr, a member of staff at St Paul’s RC Primary in Portsmouth for completing the Malta Marathon in 4 hours and 1 minute. What a fantastic achievement.
Thank you so much for raising nearly £100 and contributing 26 miles to the Share the Journey campaign. The aim of the campaign is to walk around the world (24,900 miles) in solidarity with refugees and migrants who have to flee from their homes. We are urging the Prime Minister to play leading role in the forthcoming global compacts on migration and refugees. You can sign the online petition here

St Paul’s Primary Portsmouth
Hi to St Paul’s Primary school in Portsmouth and many thanks for welcoming our CAFOD school visitor Maureen Thompson to your school. We hope you enjoyed the Lent family fast day assembly about Marian and her two sons from Zimbabwe which showed how donations to CAFOD have helped Marian to grow a vegetable garden. The vegetables have helped Svondo to grow strong and healthy and prevented him from being malnourished like his brother Twanda was when he was younger.
St Paul’s pupils
Congratulations to all our brilliant finalists across Reading and Newbury who gathered together in Reading Council Chambers for the CAFOD Reading Cluster Primary Public Speaking Final. You were incredible! Well done everyone!
Teachers, parents and pupils from English Martyrs, Christ the King, St Paul’s and St Joseph’s heard the eleven finalists give their talks on the key messages of Laudato Si’ and the important part we all have to play in protecting the Earth, our common home.
