Called to Change

You are invited to join Caritas Portsmouth and CAFOD Portsmouth on Friday 21st May for an online gathering to celebrate the sixth anniversary of the publication of Laudato Si’: Care for Our Common Home. In this encyclical Pope Francis called all people of goodwill to change and work together to care for our common home. Across the world Catholics have been encouraged to renew our response to hear “the cry or the earth and the cry of the poor “ Much has happened, much more needs to happen .

Fr Mark Hogan will lead us in reflecting on some of the key messages in Laudato Si’ .Shelia Wade interim Director of Charity (Caritas) for Portsmouth Diocese and Jo Lewry Community Participation Coordinator for CAFOD in Portsmouth Diocese will share practical ways you can respond to the “cry of the earth and the cry of the poor” . Maureen Thompson will explore how becoming a livesimply parish is a fantastic way to start on the journey to “ecological conversion” .

So please do join us by contacting Jo to book your place email jlewry@cafod.org.uk and then the zoom link will be sent to you.
