Thanks for taking part in the BIG walk for water

A HUGE THANK YOU to everyone who took part in our BIG Walk for Water on Saturday 20th February .The weather was kind ideal for a walk in the spring sunshine! From Reading to Basingstoke to Fleet to Southampton to Isle of Wight and to the Channel Islands volunteers and supporters were out walking in solidarity with those communities around the world who have to walk each day to collect water for their families. Not only were people walking in solidarity but they were also raising money for CAFOD’s Lent Appeal.

Fr Dominic, Fr Leo and Deacon Tony

At St Bedes in Basingstoke, Fr Dominic. Fr Leo, Deacon Tony and many parishioners walked on Saturday and so far they have raised over £1000 which is amazing you can still donate to their just giving page by clicking here .

Also many thanks to Geraldine, Sue, Peter ,Rick , Chis and Janice from the Isle of Wight who walked around Cowes . Thank you to everyone who took part!
