Let Your MP Know Your Views By Becoming an MP Correspondent

MP Correspondents' training

MP Correspondents’ training

Many thanks to those who braved the stormy weather on Saturday to attend the MP correspondent training at St Joan of Arc church Farnham. Sarah Croft manager of the Campaign team at CAFOD led the informative and interactive sessions.  We looked at the best way to lobby your MP, how to frame questions so that they respond to them and lobbying your MP. Remembering that they are there to represent your views but they can’t do that if they don’t know what your views are! We also discussed how to make a letter personal and finding out about your MP’s likes and interests. It was a very enjoyable session and we learnt lots of tips and useful ideas from each others’ experience of writing to our MPs. Many thanks to Sarah for her expertise and for leading such an interesting morning.

If you missed this training there is another training day on Tuesday 5th December at Amigo Hall next to CAFOD’s Head office 55 Westminster Bridge road London SE1 7JB from 11am to 3pm.  Book your place  here
