Many thanks to all those who came to the Harvest fast day briefing at English Martyrs’ Church Reading last night . It was great to see so many of our parish volunteers and supporters there and to share the story of Edelmira from El Salvador. Edelmira and her husband Martir are farmers in Cachagua, El Salvador  who have been supported by CAFOD’s Partner Solidarity CVX  with training in farming techniques, raising chickens, and crop diversification. Edelmira has also joined a women’s group  which has help her to grow into the confident chatty women that she is today. So this Harvest we are asking you to help support other farmers like Edelmira so that they can become self-sufficient.

  1. Thank you Jo for leading the meeting – it must have been a lot of work for you and we value the chance of a face to face session to raise questions and learn from each other.
