Many thanks to St Paul’s Primary for welcoming Patrick and Isobel to their celebration assembly this morning and presenting a cheque for £174.05 for the CAFOD Lent appeal.

Patrick told us” Four members of the School Council told us about the work and talent that went into creating an enormous “Bob” who had just returned to the school having been displayed in the Church throughout the Season of Easter. Scores of “Little Fish” had been made and decorated in a variety of craft skills and techniques. These little fish made up the scales of the Big Fish which reflected the theme of this year’s Lenten Appeal in support of Florence and her community in Zambia.

Following the presentation, we were told that fish will be painted on one of the school’s Creation Garden panels as a legacy of their support to Florence and CAFOD and will serve to link their ongoing Corporal Works of Mercy in a quiet, reflective garden. It was a great privilege to be able to thank many parents and guardians as well as the pupils and teachers for their continued support for the work of CAFOD and we asked for their prayers for the communities that are served worldwide”.
