Bring & Buy raises over £650 at St Mary’s Primary Maidenhead

St Mary’s Bring & Buy Sale

O thank you so much to St Mary’s primary school in Maidenhead who raised over £650 for the Lent Fast day appeal in just one hour by hosting a Bring & Buy Sale.

Over one hour pupils and staff descended on the stalls, all of which were planned, organised and run by junior pupils, which included dealing with the float and the money on the day.  There was an amazing array of activities on offer, ranging from name the bear and guess the number of sweets in the jar to nail painting and beat the goalie.

Pupils working on the stalls were able to enjoy the fun too, as they minded each other’s stalls – a great example of teamwork and trust.

Headteacher, Mrs Janice Laycock, said:

“It is always a hectic afternoon but such an enjoyable one – the children’s inventiveness and energy is fantastic and their commitment to helping others is an example to everyone. Truly they live out our mission at St Mary’s, actively showing their faith to change the lives of others.

“The children look forward eagerly to the afternoon both as buyers and sellers and the generosity of the whole school community is brilliant!”
