CAFOD volunteer and our friend Rita Belletty from St John Bosco in Woodley has just let us know about this special ecumenical event on Saturday 6 May from 10am until 4pm at St Laurence’s in Reading which will focus on our responsibility as Christians to care for creation. Rita told us,
“Paul Draper and I have been working with Christian Concern for One World throughout Lent to help raise awareness of this issue and the result has been a number of events – including this one in Reading.
“Ellen Teague, one of the main speakers, was our Live Simply Award Assessor as well as being an author, journalist and member of the Columban Justice Peace and Integrity of Creation Team.
“The day will include talks, workshops and group work focussing on how we communicate that creation care is part of our churches’ mission. It’s free to attend but registration is essential.
Thank you Rita! Sounds good!
