Ellen Barr and Phil McDermott Liverpool Half Marathon 2017

A HUGE congratulations to Ellen Barr from St Thomas’ in St Helier, Jersey who raised a staggering £2,773 for our East Africa Crisis Appeal by running the Liverpool Half Marathon!  Thank you so much Ellen and thank you to everyone who sponsored her!

CAFOD volunteer and Secretary of CAFOD Jersey, Phil McDermott, told us,

‘Ellen’s illustrious long distance running career came to an end on 2 April when she competed for the last time in the Liverpool Half Marathon. She ran in aid of CAFOD’s East Africa Crisis Appeal and was sponsored by parishioners from St Thomas’ and St Mary and St Peter’s churches as well as the Welcome Centre.

“Ellen is a much loved parishioner and she was just over the moon to have raised so much!”

O thank you so much Ellen!  And thank you to all the many parishioners of St Thomas and St Mary and St Peter’s churches for sponsoring her too!
