Diocese Care of Our Common Home ConferenceMake a date in your diaries for the Portsmouth Diocese Care of Our Common Home Conference on 12 November 9.30 for 10.00am until 3.30pm at The Winchester Discovery Centre, Jewry Street, Winchester.  The conference aims to provide a
meeting place where the views of different faiths on the care of our planet can be
presented and discussed – and Father Augusto Zampini (CAFOD’s Theological Adviser) will be one of the key speakers!

Professor Mary Grey and Rev Dr Augusto Zampini will talk about Pope Francis’ encyclical Laudato Si’ and Robert Hutchison will speak on the Paris summit conference. Short presentations will also be given by seven members of different Christian communities, other faiths and no faith describing their views on the care of our planet. There will also be a panel discussion when you can ask the panel your questions.

Bishop Philip Egan will chair the conference and refreshments and lunch will be provided.

To book a place, please email your name to laudatosi12nov@gmail.com  A poster for the event can be found here.

Find resources to reflect and respond to Laudato Si’ in the light of your faith.

Watch this message below from Pope Francis who calls on us to take good care of creation – a gift freely given – cultivating and protecting it for future generations.
