Amazing Swimathon Challenge!

Swimathon St Joseph's College Reading April 2016 (1181x1280)Congratulations to all our young leaders at St Joseph’s College in Reading who organised a swimathon yesterday! Students swam a staggering 180 lengths in 30 minutes and made over £180! Well done everyone!

As one leader has told us,

“It was during a CAFOD social action day we decided we wanted to organise a range of creative and fun events, but still clearly teach others about how girls often have to give up their education to collect water for their family.

“We are thoroughly enjoying our leadership programme as we have learnt so much about campaigning, fundraising, CAFOD’s work and of course helping raise money to help those who do not have access to safe water, something we take for granted and have access to in abundance.”

Thank you so much everyone for helping our partners ‘Make a Splash’ for thousands of people in the Democratic Republic of the Congo, Zimbabwe, and Uganda.
