Bournemouth Parishioners Support Lenten Appeal

Making a splash at Westbourne

Thank you so much to Susan and Bernard Kelly at Our Lady Immaculate Church in Westbourne and the fab CAFOD team led by Helen Eales at Ringwood and Fordingbridge for holding special frugal lunches throughout Lent in aid of our appeal.

Special lunches will be held every Friday in the lovely parish hall of Our Lady Immaculate in Wesbourne at 12pm.  You are also invited to bring along a friend! The more the merrier!

Sacred Heart & St Therese of Lisieux in Ringwood are also holding Lenten lunches at 12pm noon each Friday during Lent after Mass and Our Lady of Sorrows & St Philip Benzi in Fordingbridge is holding Lenten lunches after a short reflection at 11.45am each Friday.

As you know, all these special events will have double the impact this year because we have once again successfully secured UK Aid Match Funding for our Lenten appeal. This means that the UK government will match pound for pound every donation made to the appeal – up to the value of £3.5M.  Terrific!

Thank you so much to everyone for helping our partners ‘Turn on the taps’ for thousands of people in the Democratic Republic of the Congo, Zimbabwe, and Uganda.
