Putting Against Poverty!

Golf Day Diners August 2015Thank you to everyone who attended the special Golf Day organised by the Catenian Association at West Wellow Golf Club near Romsey! You raised an impressive £1219.50 for our Nepal Earthquake appeal!  Thank you all!

CAFOD volunteer and Catenian Roger Lillie told us,

“It was a great event on Friday. We had 54 players (18 teams) and were lucky enough to be joined by Father Eddie Richer and Monsignor Tom McGrath for dinner in the club house afterwards.

“Teams came from all over the diocese from Bracknell to Poole, Basingstoke to Portsmouth.   The weather was warm and sunny – just like the previous 3 Golf Days. CAFOD is blessed!”

A big thank you to Roger Lillie who made this event happen and all the members of the Catenian organising committee. Thank you too to Cecily Exworthy and Clare Lasker from the CAFOD group at St Edward the Confessor at Chandlers Ford who raised a whopping £390 from their raffle on the day.  Also – a big thank you again to Daverio Matteucci for so generously donating a meal at Keats Restaurant as one of the prizes.
