The amazing CAFOD group at St Edward’s the Confessor parish in Chandler’s Ford is organising an extra-special “Cash in your attic for CAFOD” fundraiser on Saturday 9 May, to make the most of this year’s Lent matched funding opportunity!

The event will run from 11am until 4pm at St Edward’s the Confessor church, 191-193 Winchester Rd, Chandler’s Ford, SO53 2DU. The entry is free and refreshments will be sold, including home-made cakes.

Parishioners have been asked to donate collectables, jewellery, accessories, games, jigsaws, coffee table books (not paperbacks) and nearly new or new china and glass to support the fundraising effort. Donations should be brought to St Edward’s church on Friday 8 May after 4pm and collections can be made, if local.

All the money raised will qualify for matched funding, so everyone’s efforts will be doubled!

If you live in the area, make sure you don’t miss the event: it will be your chance to grab an extra-special bargain and to support our Lenten appeal at the same time.

A huge thanks goes to Clare Lasker and all the CAFOD group members for running this event for us. We look forward to hear about the outcome!
