On Friday 27 March, pupils from St Mary’s Primary School in Maidenhead held a special “Bring and Buy” sale to raise money for our Lenten appeal.
It was a great event with warm sunshine and fantastic stalls – and it raised an amazing £478 in a single afternoon!
Headteacher Janice Laycock said: “We’re so glad our pupils rose to the challenge we set them this Lent to live more sustainably and reduce, recycle and reuse whilst raising money for a good cause in the process. The children had been learning about how young people around the world are being affected by climate change. As teachers, we’re always trying to get pupils to think about how we can help our neighbours, so we’re proud that they are showing their concern for children in other countries.”
Well done to everyone and a huge thanks to all pupils, teachers and parents who took part!
