Rita Belletty, our CAFOD volunteer told us;
“The liturgy was first used by Bishop Declan Lang in Clifton and provided by CAFOD, including the Our Father – Your Kingdom Come.
Parishioners are invited to bring something they have grown themselves, whether it is a vegetable, herb or flower as a token of their gratitude for God’s bounty which serves to remind us that we are co-creators, not exploiters.
The Mass is organised by the parish’s LiveSimply group, whilst the choir and musicians and flower arrangers endeavour to complement the theme.”
Thank you Rita. It sounds fantastic! A great way to celebrate harvest!
