Romsey team take on Test Way Walk

Test Way Walkers 2013Our wonderful volunteer Rosemary Peacock from Romsey is taking part in the Test Way Walk this year to raise money for CAFOD’s work.

Rosemary will be walking 16 miles along the Test Way on Sunday 12 October. Martin Ceresa and Sister Siobhan Boyle DW (Daughter of Wisdom) will also be completing the 16 mile route with Rosemary.

The trio will join more than 500 other walkers all raising money for individual charities.

Rosemary, Martin and Sister Siobhan DW are all regular walkers and have been “egging each other on” in the lead up to the walk.

Rosemary said: “I did it last year and thoroughly enjoyed it. I love walking, and to do something I love and raise money at the same time is a bonus. During the walk you keep coming across people walking for all different charities and you have a chat with them and find out what their charity does.

“I’m most looking forward to having a lovely walk with friends and being able to do something for CAFOD which I think is a worthwhile charity.”

Rosemary, Sister Siobhan DW and Martin will be setting off from Wherwell – the 16 mile start point. There are five different courses for walkers to choose from; ranging from 5 miles to 25.5 miles.

Rosemary walks around four miles every day and is considering completing the 26 mile Test Way Walk in the future.

She said: “I’m very tempted to give it a go.”
