Last night, our fab Education Volunteer Coordinator, Roger Lillie, presided over all the food for the Southampton University Catholic Society Leavers’ BBQ and produced some really mouth watering grub! What a great evening!
Roger served up sausages, chicken and pork kebabs and the now famous – mango mousse!!!! LOVE it!
Helping out with the BBQ like this gave us a great opportunity to say a heartfelt ‘thank you’ to all our volunteers who have worked so hard with us last academic year by raising funds, campaigning, speaking at Mass and of course, by visiting secondary schools in the local area to talk about our work all over the world.
We’re so sad to lose so many of our original volunteers, many of whom have been with us from the very start and encouraged so many others to get involved. Thank you all!
We are really indebted to you, we’ll miss you and we wish you all the very best in your future endeavours.
Thank you to Roger and Margaret Lillie for buying, preparing and cooking all the food – which was incredible, to Harry from the Catenians who ably assisted Roger with the cooking and our local Education Volunteer Kate O’Shea who helped us set up & brought some lovely cakes too! A special word of thanks also goes to Sister Catherine who has been a great support to the whole venture too throughout the year. Thank you all! Such a great team!
