Freshly baked bread at St Saviour’s

St Saviour's 3It’s all happening in the Portsmouth Diocese this Lent with a whole host of parishes holding Lenten lunches and St. Saviour’s in Totland Bay on Isle of Wight was no exception!  Following the Stations of the Cross, parishioners were treated to freshly baked bread with their soup at the Lenten lunch on 11th April – as you can see from this lovely photo above.

A raffle was held for some of the delicious loaves and many supporters enjoyed a simple lunch raising £120 for ‘Dig Deep’ the CAFOD theme this Lent helping people to grow enough food to eat in communities such as Sierra Leone.

Thanks to Alistair for sending in the photos and to all those who organised, cooked, baked and generally made it a great event, not forgetting the wonderful parishioners who all took part. Thank you all!
