Southampton Digs Deep for CAFOD

Parishes across Southampton have all been ‘digging deep’ and supporting CAFOD’s appeal this Lent by holding a number of events across the area to raise funds.

Parishioners at St Joseph’s and St Edmund’s in Southampton’s city centre are holding special lunches every Thursday during Lent at 1pm. Thank you so much to Judy Brown and all our volunteers there who’ve let us know about this and who are working so hard to produce these lunches.

Stan Wall, from St Margaret Mary in Park Gate,  has also let us know that the parish is holding a Lenten soup lunch after the 12pm Mass on 8 April 2014.  Thank you Stan!   Please support this lunch if you can.

And Louise Croll from Waterside parish has been in contact to say that they raised a fantastic £292.90 from their Lenten lunch which was held earlier in March.

Thank you so much to all the parishes across the area for their support and thank you to everyone who has attended these Lenten lunches and supported the appeal in this way!
