Our Step into the Gap programme is an opportunity for 18-30 year olds to express and explore their faith through volunteering in the UK and overseas.
This year, we’re offering you the opportunity to be based in a school, university, parish, or with a youth project.
The programme is an exciting chance to explore new cultures and meet inspiring people. You will also develop leadership and social action skills, witness our work in action and encourage others to act for change.
Naomi, a former Step into the Gap volunteer, said: “Step into the Gap was an encouraging and empowering experience in all respects – from community living and youth ministry, to the international visit to CAFOD partners in Sierra Leone – allowing me to grow spiritually, emotionally and in my own global awareness.”
If you would like to help build a better world and be a part of Step into the Gap this year, all you need to do is apply by the 31st March 2014. Application forms can be found on our website here.
If you’d like to find out more about the programme you can read all about the experiences of previous gappers here.
Over the coming weeks, we’ll be following the journey of James Budzynski-Seymour who’s one of 2013’s Step into the Gap participants. James, who’s from Basingstoke, has just arrived in El Salvador and is witnessing the impact of our work with partners there first-hand. For updates on his journey, stay tuned!
