Fred, from Padiham in Lancashire, is cycling to all 22 Catholic dioceses in England & Wales on a challenge for CAFOD dubbed the ‘Tour de Fred’. He is raising funds for a food project in Bangladesh, and supporting our ‘Hungry for Change’ campaign.
In our diocese Fred will be visiting Springhill Catholic primary in Southampton and St Swithun’s Catholic primary in Southsea to thank everyone for their support for CAFOD and talk about our Hungry for Change campaign on food and hunger.
You can help support Fred and his fundraising by:
• Sponsoring him at justgiving.com/tourdefred The money you donate will help us support communities in Bangladesh facing food insecurity.
• Holding a fundraiser in solidarity with Fred- there are lots of ideas, plus advice at cafod.org.uk/tourdefred
• Joining our Hungry for change campaign at cafod.org.uk/hungry. Hungry for Change is part of the wider IF campaign, putting pressure on G8 leaders this month to address the causes of hunger.
Don’t forget to follow Fred around England and Wales on twitter @LeTourdeFred and to send any photos you take of our intrepid cyclist to firstname.lastname@example.org!
