Tour de Fred – Coming Soon!

CAFOD volunteer Fred Uttley, 68, is cycling more than 1,000 miles this month to fight hunger and he’ll be completing the Portsmouth diocese section of his epic bike ride on Friday 21 June.

Fred, from Padiham in Lancashire, is cycling to all 22 Catholic dioceses in England & Wales on a challenge for CAFOD dubbed the ‘Tour de Fred’. He is raising funds for a food project in Bangladesh, and supporting our ‘Hungry for Change’ campaign.

In our diocese Fred will be visiting Springhill Catholic primary in Southampton and St Swithun’s Catholic primary in Southsea to thank everyone for their support for CAFOD and talk about our Hungry for Change campaign on food and hunger.

You can help support Fred and his fundraising by:

• Joining our Hungry for change campaign at Hungry for Change is part of the wider IF campaign, putting pressure on G8 leaders this month to address the causes of hunger.
