Our wonderful friends from the CAFOD group at Corpus Christi parish, Bournemouth, recently met with their MP Tobias Ellwood to raise awareness of the Enough Food for Everyone IF campaign.
Pam Flavell, Richard Arthur, Maureen Costello, Annie Benfield and other parishioners urged the MP to ask the Prime Minister to take to the G8 the “four big IFs” – the 4 areas in which we are asking world leaders to take action to tackle global hunger, i.e. aid, tax dodging, land grabbing and transparency.
Pam made a special banner for the occasion with reference to the Gospel parable of the multiplication of the loaves and fishes, and our Hungry for Change campaign – the banner read “If you had five loaves and two fishes, would you share?” and you can see it pictured above!
A huge thanks to Pam and all the CAFOD team for taking the time to meet their MP and spread the IF message – we are now really looking forward to the BIG IF G8 rally on Sat – just 2 days to go! 🙂
