Yes, it’s that time of the year again! We are now recruiting for the Great South Run 2013 – applications are open and we look forward to welcoming the CAFOD Team once more!
The main run this year will take place on Sunday 27 October, while the Mini and Junior runs and the 5K run are taking place on Sat 26 in Southsea, Portsmouth.
The 5k run is open to everyone aged 14 and above (click here to register your interest and BUPA will notify you once registration is officially open). The Mini run is for children aged 3-8 (distance: 1.5km) and the Junior run for 9-15 year olds (distance: 2.5 km). We had over 15 participants in the Mini and Junior events last year and it would be great if we could have even more support this year! We will be there on the day to cheer you along the course and we will provide a running vest and a goodie bag.
If your son/daughter/nephew/niece/grandson/granddaughter etc. are in the right age groups, please encourage them to come and let us know! To enter the race, please visit the Bupa website and let us know once you have registered by emailing us at firstname.lastname@example.org or calling us on 01252 329385. There is a £13 registration fee for the Mini and Junior events.
For the main run, please register here (the registration fee is £41) and again, let us know once you have done that so that we can send you your running vest and fundraising pack.
On the Sunday we will once again be based at the Royal Beach Hotel opposite South Parade Pier – which will be easy to spot as we will cover the railings in CAFOD banners!
