CAFOD cress!

Cafod written in cress St Saviour primary school

Take a look at this picture from St Saviour’s Primary School on the Isle of Wight! Following a Lenten visit from our volunteer Rosemary Peacock, they have been growing “CAFOD” in cress and here’s the result – really original!

During Rosemary’s visit, the children learned about the story of Tabita and the supergoat, featured in our Lent Fast Day materials, and played the “Can you beat the system?” game in classroom sessions afterwards, which gave them an opportunity to learn about the imbalances of power in the global food system.

A big thanks to Rosemary for visiting the school, to teachers and to all pupils who took part in the activities! Well done everyone!
