It’s October again and One World Week is coming back very soon! This year it runs from 21 to 28 October and the theme is “Sharing Destiny: Moving Towards One World“.
If you would like to take part and get involved, there is no shortage of events that you can attend throughout our diocese!
If you are based in Portsmouth, do not miss the OWW evening event on Thursday 25 October from 7pm til 9.15pm at The Hub, Dennis Sciama building, University of Portsmouth PO1 3FX.
It will include a Fairtrade international buffet (tickets £5), stalls and displays, speakers and a “Fish Bowl” discussion to share ideas on how we can work together for a better world. Our lovely volunteers from the Justice and Peace group at St Colman’s, Cosham, will also be there running a CAFOD stall and promoting our Hungry for Change campaign! For more information please download a poster here.
The Justice and Peace group in Waterlooville is once again running the very popular International Food Evening, which will take place on Friday 26 October at 7.30pm at the Sacred Heart church, 356 London Rd, Waterlooville PO7 7SR. Tickets are £5 per person or £10 per family (contact: Philip Hayllar, firstname.lastname@example.org)
Many more events are also planned in the Portsmouth/Fareham/Waterlooville area, ranging from church services to talks and quizzes, to cater for everyone! Click here to download a full programme.
