Supporters’ Meeting – Saturday 15 September 2012

We would like to invite you all to come along to our next Supporters’ Meeting, which will take place from 10am – 1.30pm at St Bede’s Catholic Primary School, Popley Way, Basingstoke, RG24 9DX on Saturday 15 September. A poster can be downloaded here.

This is a really important meeting, as we will be feeding back on everyone’s incredible response to our Lenten appeal on the day. We hope to be able to inform everyone how the monies raised will be used by partners and the difference it will make to thousands of our brothers and sisters across the world.

The meeting will also provide an overview of the theme of Harvest Fast Day (5th October) and our new campaign focusing on food, which we hope will really resonate with parishes.

But – this meeting is particularly special as our main speaker is Clare Dixon OBE, Regional Manager for Latin America and the Caribbean, and one of CAFOD’s longest serving members of staff with over 30 years experience in the field (click here for a short bio – well worth a read!).  Clare has kindly agreed to host a question and answer session on any CAFOD related issue you choose.

If you have ever wondered why CAFOD works in a particular way or have any question whatsoever about our work – this is the meeting for you (and anyone else you know who is interested!)  It’s a real opportunity to have those questions answered.   Please come along if you can.

If you have any questions you’d like Clare to answer – do send them to us in advance but you are welcome to ask her on the day.

To book a place, please contact us at portsmouth@cafod.org.uk or 01252 329385 – by 3rd September.

In the meantime – have a lovely summer break! 🙂
