On 26 April, parishioners in Lee and Stubbington held a special Curry and Chilli evening in aid of CAFOD’s Lenten appeal. It was a great success with 80 people attending and £790 raised – which will be match-funded by the UK government!
Organised by parishioners Colette Smith, Hannah Smith and Diana Deary (pictured below with Fr John), the social event combined a delicious meal with a special raffle in aid of CAFOD, with prizes kindly donated by local traders: Donny’s Bistro, The Fruit Basket, Jane Hug Jewellers, Forget-Me-Not, Stubbington Hair and Beauty, Kutz, Richard lst Salon, Charmed Ones and Julies Glass Beads.
Everybody had a great time!
Our special thanks goes to Colette, Hannah and Diana for organising the event so well, our parish contact Maria McDonough for her help and for sending a great picture gallery, the local businesses who supported the event, Fr John Humphreys and of course all parishioners who attended for their generosity! Well done everyone 🙂
