The month of October saw St Edmund’s Secondary School in Portsmouth focusing on their Harvest Appeal. Fundraising events for Cafod included a Sponsored Silence, and enthusiastic toting around the school of collection boxes. The students also collected food items and donated them to the local St Simon’s Community for the homeless.
As part of the School Feast Day Mass at St John’s Cathedral on 16 November, the proceeds of their efforts were presented to Val Croughan, our local schools volunteer, as part of the Offertory Procession. £166.20 were collected, which is brilliant!
A big thanks to everyone for their efforts and to Val for visiting the school!
