This Harvest, children from St Edmund Campion Primary School in Maidenhead made Fast Day really special again for all parishioners (doubling up on the Lenten success earlier this year!).
Three pupils from the primary school spoke at one Mass each over the weekend, introducing CAFOD and the story of Pany Pan to the congregation – everybody was delighted to welcome such young and talented speakers!
After delivering their talks with great gusto, they all agreed that it was a not-so-easy but enjoyable experience!
One pupil said: “It was fun! It was the first time I was doing something actively in the church. I was a bit nervous at first but then I felt God was on my side!”
Another pupil commented along the same lines: “It was very good! I was very nervous at first but then after I started everything was fine!”.
And the third pupil’s impressions were no different: “It was good fun – but nerve-wracking!”.
All talks were definitely worth the efforts! A big thanks to our young speakers for being such great ambassadors for CAFOD – and we look forward to welcoming the school children again at Lent! 🙂 Well done everyone!!
