Connect2:Rwanda comes to Totton!

Odette, founder of CAFOD partner Avega East in Rwanda

We are very privileged to announce an upcoming special event that our parish contacts in Totton, Lyndhurst and Waterside are organising! The 3 parishes, which are all supporting the Connect2:Rwanda initiative, will have the honour to receive a visit from Odette, founder of CAFOD partner Avega East (an award-winning women’s association set up to help widows of the Rwandan genocide) and Feza, community leader from the Musha village (featured in the Connect2 materials) during their UK tour next month.

Feza, community leader in Musha

Odette and Feza will be giving a talk at St Theresa Parish Hall, 20 Beaumont Rd, Totton, SO40 3AL, on Sunday 10 th July at 12 noon (after the 10.30am Mass), followed by a luncheon (with CAFOD raffle) to celebrate their visit!

It will be a great opportunity to hear from them first-hand about their work in their country and to show our support and solidarity – and also a great social event!

Everybody is very welcome to come along. Tickets are £5 each, free entry for children aged 12 and under. It would help the organisers if you could book your place by contacting Edna Wharton on 02380 865823 or edna.wharton@btinternet.com

A poster with all the details of the event is available here. We look forward to seeing you there 🙂
