As some of you might remember, last year a group of dedicated CAFOD supporters from all across the country dusted off their walking boots to walk the final 100 miles of the beautiful Santiago de Compostela pilgrim route in Northern Spain to raise sponsorship for CAFOD.
Following on from their success, we are once again offering supporters the chance to walk the final part of the pilgrimage in community this September. By taking part and raising sponsorship for your challenge, your journey will make a world of difference to people in need who are helped by CAFOD’s programmes in many developing countries.
Our suggested date to walk the pilgrimage is between the 16th and 25th of September. You can download a full information pack and a registration form here, or alternatively, for more information, you can email firstname.lastname@example.org or call 0207 095 5670 to speak to Siân or Kit in the Events team, who will be able to give you full support!
The deadline to submit the application form is Friday 22 July. There will be a preparatory weekend for pilgrims, probably on 20-21 August (date TBC). If you are thinking about a different challenge this summer or a different way to help CAFOD, this might indeed be for you! It would be great to have one (or more!) pilgrims from our Diocese so if you are intested, do not hesitate to let us know!
