Do you have what it takes to help former street children (boys and some girls) improve their English sufficiently to gain/maintain access to local government schools and to improve their chance of finding employment?
Could you offer some extra-curricular activities that will help direct the energies of young people?
Would you be able to develop a programme of lessons and activities which could be used and developed by other volunteers?
In a repeat of a successful scheme which has been running for the last five years, CAFOD, Trócaire and SCIAF are seeking three volunteers qualified to work with street children on their English language and confidence building skills in Tigray Region, northern Ethiopia for five weeks over July and August 2011. The placement is with ourlongstanding partner organisation, the Daughters of Charity.
