Step into the Gap is back!

After last year’s success, CAFOD is proud to announce the return of “Step into the Gap”, the programme aimed at young people aged 18-30, which offers a fully funded gap year experience working in the UK or overseas. It is a wonderful opportunity to put their faith into action while encouraging others to act for positive change.

The young adults spend 10 months with either St Mary’s college in Blackpool or the Youth Ministry team in Hexham and Newcastle with a specific remit to raise global issues and promote social justice.  In addition to these placements, the young adults will spend 4-6 weeks in Africa, experiencing first hand the challenges and opportunities faced by some of the poorest countries in the world.  The programme has been made possible by the continued financial support of the Society of the Holy Child Jesus.
